Researchers

For researchers: true verbatim to qualitative research standards

Interviews, focus groups and naturally occurring talk - with the pauses, interruptions and overlaps that conversation analysis requires.

Qualitative interviews

Verbatim text with roles and timestamps, ready for coding.

Focus groups

Voices separated by participant, crosstalk marked.

Conversation analysis and linguistics

Pauses, slips, backchannels over speech - everything a regular transcript throws away.

Multilingual projects

English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Russian in one service - and the list keeps growing.

Example

R1: Well, we kind of… (pause 2 s) aren't exactly against it. [R2: mm-hmm] It's just… [talking at the same time]

What true verbatim hears

A regular transcript gives you tidied-up text. In a real conversation, the meaning is often in what happens between the words.

This is what a TrueTranscribe transcript looks like

It learns from your corrections

Personal dictionary

Correct a word the same way twice, and it gets fixed automatically in future recordings: names, terms, method names.

Hints for the recognizer

Your terms are fed to the speech recognition model in advance, so it gets them wrong less often.

Your overlap threshold

Based on your decisions, the service learns which short voice overlaps to mark as talking at the same time.

Your voice

With your consent, the service remembers your voice and recognizes you right away in new recordings. Other speakers' voices are not stored.

Try it on your own recording

Upload a recording and see how much of it a regular transcript would have lost.
